Hi! My name is Michael Embrey, and I am the pastor at Hebron. My beautiful wife's name is Elisabeth and my little girl's name is Lydia. We have been here since July 18, 2011. Previously, I served as youth and children's minister at Halesford Baptist Church in Wirtz, VA for two years. I graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY with a masters in Christian Ministry, and an emphasis on Biblical Counseling and Church Planting. Before that, I graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

My life's verse is Philippians 1:21, "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain."

My vision as a pastor is to reach out to every home in our community and beyond, and raise up generations of born again believers as a family of God, who don't chase after the vain things of this world, but who passionately love and treasure Jesus Christ above all else, and follow Him no matter the cost.

My Mission is to Equip Homes 4 Life, by grounding them in the faith, engaging them, meeting real needs, and being on mission with God.
